1998 E38 750iL with 6spd manual transmission
This vehicle was featured in the June 2003 issue of Bimmer Magazine.
This car is unique in many ways, not the least of which was the addition of the 6 spd manual transmission.
No 750 was ever produced with a manual transmission, and the M73 engine found in the E38 was never backed up by a manual transmission in any BMW model. This led to some interesting challenges that were met, not without some difficulty, and the final product is featured below.
In addition to the usual amenities found on the top of the BMW line sedan, this car has a Polk Momo stereo system, TV, DVD, custom fitted Cobra seats tied into the factory seat sleds, rear seats redone to match the front seats, Victor steering wheel, UUC exhaust and UUC 14" rotors / 4 piston calipers on front, 12.9" rotors / 4 piston calipers on rear and a 3.38 Quaife limited slip differential.
